1950 Monaco Grand Prix

The first Monaco Grand Prix which was held in 1950, had been memorable as it had to eliminate 10 cars due to an incident. The first grand champion of the Monaco Grand Prix was an Argentinian racing driver, in the person of Juan Manuel Fangio. He was known for his two nicknames, El Chueco (the knock-kneed) and El Maestro (the Master).

He was seven years old when his parents brought him to the track to witness the live event in 1965. On his first year as a spectator, he was deeply awed by the warmth, glamour and excitement of the competition.

Since then, his admiration has continually developed for the Grand Prix drivers who according to him, are possessing high level of X-factor, guts and courage to face real danger on the track. At first, he expected that his excitement for car racing competition would eventually wear off as years go by. But to his surprise, he is one of the most excited spectators when the event is about to hit the town. In fact, he is always looking forward to the event which would illuminate the entire city with excitement, glamour and fun.

Decades have passed but Prince Albert's enthusiasm towards Monaco Grand Prix event has never fade. Monaco Grand Prix is actually considered as one of the biggest and most exhilarating motorsport event in the country. The Grand Prix promotes Monaco at a global level, improves the country's economic stability and continuous the glamour to which Monaco is known for.
