In 2006 the studio album King of Kings introduced by Don Omar beat out Daddy Yankee and his studio album Barrio Fino En Directo which came out at number 74 whereas the King of Kings album debuted as the greatest debut Latin American album at number 7. Reggaeton was slow to be recognized by the non-Hispanic cultures of the US and Europe till 2004 when Reggaeton became a crossover year with this kind of songs. El Cangri from Yankee's record became popular in these other nations and began to be played in the various places by non-Hispanic listeners.

Controversial Reggaeton

Nonetheless there was many controversy about Reggaeton as it used explicit language. Despite the endeavors of the Puerto Rican authorities to stop Reggaeton Daddy Yankee carries on lead this market together with his song albums and singles. In the year 2004 the record Nina Sky single hit Oye Mi Canto introduced by a New York artist by the name of N.O.R.E. presented well respected Reggaeton musicians Yankee and Tego Calderon. Yankee finally achieved it to United States and Europe with his single Gasolina, in 2004

Background

Daddy Yankee was born in 1977. He is also called El Jefe and El Cangri. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and named Ramon Luis Ayala Rodriguez. He is a Latin Grammy Award winning Reggaeton recording artist. As he was growing up he was interested and associated with the underground Reggaeton music revolution occurring in his own place Puerto Rico. He began to imitate the styles of some rap like DJ Goldy and DJ Playero. His first presence was together with DJ Playero in a 1992 production Playero 37 however went on to make his own rhythm and style and became among the first music artists to be a performed of Reggaeton.

Albums And Songs

His 1st solo album introduced was No Mercy and then he formed a duo with Nicky Jam. He then went solo again with the launch of albums El Cartell and El Cartell II after which he became to be called one of the Reggaeton pioneers and was sometimes called Papi Vaguero. In 2002 his music El Cangri.com have become worldwide accepted and was regarded as his first commercial success on earth beyond Hispanic music listeners. He has also a small commercial advertising job like participating in advertising for Reebok and Pepsi.
