Most people have had anxiety or stress at one point or another. Many people don't realize there's a difference between generally being stressed, and an anxiety attack. To help you tell the difference, here's a list of the anxiety attack symptoms you want to look for, both physical and emotional.

Truly, it's hard to tell if someone struggles with anxiety in this way, because every case is different. One person may be having an all-out attack, another may suffer an attack and never lose stride. No matter what the form of the disorder is, all anxiety attacks involve serious worry over a situation that others don't even worry about. Let's start off by examining several of the emotional anxiety symptoms.

First on the list of the emotions is an abnormal amount of fear and/or worry. If you're always worried about being around others, or having to face one type of situation, or some other pattern - this is an indication of anxiety. Other symptoms include feeling apprehensive, paranoid, or expecting your life to always take a turn for the worse.

Anxiety attack symptoms can involve a veritable mess of emotions, actually. You can't seem to get through a day without worry. You may be irritable to an excessive degree. You may find focusing very difficult. If you feel like you're really tense all the time, then you should look for a professional's help.

These emotional pointers of anxiety are only part of the trouble. There can be some pretty severe physical symptoms to accompany them. You may suffer from such a degree of physical indications that you find yourself in a hospital, thinking you've suffered a heart attack or similar episode.

Some of the symptoms are pretty stealthy in nature, and may involve body twitches, a general fatigue, constant urination or a stomach that's upset. What will often happen is that the person will wind up tense and short-tempered. Other indicators include a pounding heart, muscle tension, insomnia and always being sweaty.

You can also experience other physical symptoms. These can be so severe, as previously stated, that folks think they have a genuine mental condition. This results in frequent doctors' visits, or even hospital stays.

There are tons of anxiety attack symptoms that can show up in anyone's life. You may have had such an episode without realizing what was happening. Due to the wide range of severity of the symptoms, diagnosing anxiety can be difficult. But if you know what the common physical and emotional symptoms are, you'll be informed enough to recognize it before it happens.
