Once you have your customers at the exhibition you still need them to notice your exhibition stand and come and engage with you. Keep it short and sweet. Simple, sharp, and concise logo designs are more likely to be remembered 2 weeks from now, than long complicated uninspiring designs. By using well thought out advertising you can cause people to want to find out more about your business.

In face-to-face interactions like those at a trade event or public industry show where competition may be present, the more engaging your exhibition stand, the less your sales people will need to use hard sales tactics. Don't use a hard sell a soft one is better.

Your exhibition graphics need to be big, loud, simple and relevant. Make sure that your exhibition banner and promotional materials are all branded with your logo. That logo should be as big and as high as the event will allow and feature your slogan as well, or a reason to come over.

Provide to your customers an engaging task regarding your stand's brand. Once you are able to get a crowd at your stand, popular video games will no doubt entertain them, however it is best to have a video game created that advertises your specific brand. You may even be able to have this done for free, by engaging the assistance of a local university student. Use the high scoreboard as an information gathering tool.

You can provide a free smartphone app tied to your brand. It costs less than you think to have an app developed. At least, you should find it easy to get content for a normal video, but everyone does that today already. Allow your visitors to participate in a task and make your stand the one that really stands out.

What you should aim for in your exhibition stand is making sales "here and now". As an added bonus, you will have the opportunity to collect prospect data, such as business name, company contact, email, phone, address, and website address. It is important to present each visitor with a sample, promotional item or an invitation to a future event, that can be redeemed at the time of the event for a substantial incentive.
