Strathwood All-Weather Hardwood 3 Seater Bench
Assembly was very easy and I had it done in about 45 minutes by myself. I have no doubt it'll be just as beautiful as the day I first put it together. It's a "true" three-seater bench -- even if the three "seats" are big ones, however, I'd be hesitant to put three really large people on it as there is no center support brace on the bottom (I'd put the lightest person in the middle).
My first thought about this bench was that I knew I needed a new one for our front porch, and it was staring at me on a Deal of The Day for $99.99 when it was normally $149.99. I highly recommend this item. Before anybody assumes that maybe I am heavy set, I am not, I weigh 160 pounds.
First of all, it was not packaged very well. Pay a little more for something nicer.
I ordered this bench a couple of days ago and Fed Ex delivered it this morning! I am so, so, so happy I bought this! I say go for it. The washer/screw was set into the concrete pads to prevent theft and hurricane loss. I am extremely pleased with my Strathwood 3-seater bench.
When it arrived the packing wasn't in the best shape, but it didn't matter, as the bench is very sturdy, and I think it would take more than the UPS man (or whoever delivered) to damage it. It is made of extremely good wood and I am sure it will withstand both climate and time. Very good value. There were simple 4 pieces, that were easy to assembly. To find it search on Amazon price history alert and pick the one with camel in the name. Unlike another reviewer who complained about not receiving extra screws, we did receive extra screws.
Recommend rubbing some wood oil on the bench, now and then, to protect the wood/finish.
It has a lot of character and adds a nice touch. We'll have to see how well it holds up to weather. I would have liked to know information on the care of this item.
When I saw the picture at Amazon showing this with a nice design and a price that is at least 2/3rds of the similar offerings on the net I bought one as a try. This is a nice bench for anyone that does not weigh over 200 lbs, I don't like my boyfriend to sit on it, he said that it feels like it is going to snap under him. Assembly was simple for the two of us: 15 minutes and no tools required.
